US ENVIRONMENTAL TRADE MISSION VISITS ROMANIA

US Embassy to Romania hosted between October 2-4 the first US Environmental Trade Mission to Romani, which was looking to partner with local firms in order to capitalize on the numerous business opportunities in the Romanian environmental market. US Ambassador Taubman welcomed the mission, consisting in leading U.S. technology providers including: BioMicrobics, Coler & Colantonio, Environmental Products Corporation (Envipco), Froehling & Robertson, George E. Failing Company (Gefco), Miox, Severn Trent Services, and Zoeller.
The mission met representatives of the Romanian Government, as well as almost 50 meetings with potential local Romanian partners. Romanian Water Association helped in organizing these meetings.
The mission was also informed about the Romanian business climate, legal considerations, upcoming infrastructure projects and presentations from three regional water operators.
The delegation agenda includes stops in Turkey, and Bulgaria as well.
