Embassy Press ReleaseU.S. Embassy StatementOn Tuesday, December 16, the US Embassy in Bucharest received a suspicious envelope containing an unidentified white powder. Embassy staff followed established protocol for handling suspicious articles. Tests will be conducted on the substance in the envelope. The Embassy was not evacuated but was temporarily closed to the public. It has since reopened. The Embassy appreciates the quick response of Romanian authorities in assisting with the incident. |
