JTF-East Helicopters Begin Flight Operations

Administrative Center of the Mihail Kogalniceanu Aerodrome, Constanta- Helicopters in support of Joint Task Force East (JTF-E) operations are scheduled to begin flight operations this week.

The purpose is to conduct orientation flights for medical evacuation routes to the local hospitals. Flight crews must determine the quickest route to evacuate a Soldier to receive medical care, if they are injured during training.

Helicopters will conduct day and night operations ending at midnight. All efforts will be made to limit disruption to the local population.
