The American Cultural Center Bucharest has established an English Teacher’s Resource Center that offers teachers and schools a variety of services
designed to support English language teaching and to provide information on American culture and society.
The English Teacher’s Resource Center lends English teachers books and audiotapes on ESL and EFL that focus on both theory and practice for classroom and
tutoring. In addition, we offer books and audiocassettes produced by the International Information Programs Office of the U.S. Department of State
for sale at a low price to anyone interested in English. A publication catalog with the descriptions of the books is
available on-line at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs - Office of English
Language Programs. These books contain supplementary materials for teaching English at every level, including titles on American language, culture and literature, grammar, language activities, teacher resources, and methodology. All the materials can be purchased in Romanian Lei at the official exchange rate.
This edition of eJournal USA, "Dynamic English," discusses forces that shape and change everyday English. From cultural and international influences, such as words that come directly, or in a changed form from another language, to popular media, including movies, music and sports, to changes arising from technological developments, the authors present examples of ways English changes daily. Other articles describe the process of language change, and tips for deciphering slang. » View E-Journal
The English Teaching Forum: A Journal for the Teacher of English is a quarterly magazine published for teachers of English as a
foreign or second language. The magazine consists of articles that are either contributed by readers worldwide or produced by the editors. Topics include
methodology, materials, and techniques and games for classroom teaching. The printed version is available for loan at
the English Teacher’s Resource Center in Bucharest. The electronic version of this journal is available on the Internet at the
